Do I Have Sleep Apnea?

Did you know that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the most widespread type of sleep apnea? It happens when the tongue and lower jaw take a little nap of their own, collapsing and disrupting the smooth flow of air while we snooze. OSA sufferers might even wake up hundreds of times each night! Although anyone can be affected, certain factors boost the chances of encountering this sleep-stealing villain:

What Is an Oral Sleep Appliance?

An oral sleep appliance is a custom-made device that fits like a retainer in the mouth. It works by gently repositioning your lower jaw forward to open up your airway and prevent it from collapsing during sleep. This helps ensure that you get sufficient oxygen during the night and can rest peacefully without interruption. Oral appliances are easy to wear and comfortable to use. They’re small enough to fit inside your pocket or purse when not in use, so they’re perfect for travelers who need their device on-the-go! Additionally, they don’t make any noise while you sleep, so no one else in your bed will be disturbed by them either.
